Hold'em Poker
David Sklansky - 1976

Rating: 3 (Good)

This is the first book ever written specifically for Texas Hold'em. It is still considered a good introduction book to the game of Hold'em. Because when it was written, Hold'em was still a fairly unknown game, the book starts with a description of the rules of Hold'em.

Hold'em Poker is a pretty good book for beginners, but it's not recommended if you've already read a few poker books. In fact, a lot of this material is also covered in the more comprehensive book, Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players.
