Caro's Fundamental Secrets of Winning Poker
Mike Caro - 1991

Rating: 1 (Very Bad)

This book was absolutely worthless. It was one of the first poker books I ever bought (before I got serious about Hold'em). I read it, went back and reread it later, and still can't remember a single piece of useful poker advice. The book is set up as if it is a lecture or seminar. Each section starts with a brief, overly simple quote in big, bold letters. The entire book is nothing but a collection of these ambiguous rules, with no detectable order or organization.

The book tries to cover several poker games: Stud, Draw, Hold'em, etc. But, its advice is so vague, it's not worth the paper it's printed on. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.
