The term "Flash" can mean two different things. It can mean just juggling half a round of a juggling pattern (3 catches of the 3-Ball Cascade, 5 catches of the 5-Ball Cascade, etc.). In this trick, it refers to getting all the balls up in the air for one beat.

Instructions:

While juggling the regular cascade pattern, throw one round of the three balls to a higher height. Don't slow down the beat of the throws, just make them higher. This will leave a gap in the juggling, so there will be a moment when both of your hands are empty. Catch the balls as the come down, and continue juggling. Make an effort to keep all the throws at the same height.

Variations:

You can add a clap underneath the three high throws. This is a good practice for the 5-Ball Cascade.
